Wedding package scammer nabbed KUANTAN: A man, believed to be the mastermind of a wedding-package scam here, was arrested in a 4am raid at a resort in Taiping, Perak, on Tuesday. Pahang Commercial Crimes Investigation Department chief Supt Zaini Jass said the 31-year-old suspect was arrested with a friend, a day after they checked in to the resort, thanks to a public tip-off. With the arrest, police believe they have solved six cases reported in May and June where couples had been swindled of wedding packages. He said the suspect was taken to Pahang police contingent headquarters for further investigations under Section 420 of the Penal Code. While thanking the public and the media for their cooperation on the case, Zaini said other victims who were cheated by such scams were advised to lodge reports at the police stations. On Sunday, police disclosed that six newly-wed couples here lost RM65,255 to a man who promised them wedding packages which included catering service, wedding attire and make-up. I’ve always wanted to try night portrait shooting, so this was a good opportunity…:) oppss…and not to forget to introduce our model “YY”, again…. Thanks so much for taking the time to be our model. Date: 16 Aug 2008 GT and Ai Li’s wedding dinner at Lone Pine was very special indeed. It was a wedding dinner unlike any I’ve attended as the cameraman for the event. Well, a little bit about how I got to be GT’s cameraman. I got to know from GT, that he got my number from his friend, David. And David was my previous customer. So our arrangement was made entirely through the phone, with me visiting GT at his office a few days before the dinner to run through the dinner programme. Truly wish them happy marriage and a good life together. |
